iPod touch OS update

It looks like it’s time to update even the oldest iPod touch’s to the latest available version of iOS since according to this blog post (http://bit.ly/djuHMx) the App Store will soon not support iOS 2.x apps.

  • 1st gen iPod touch can use iOS version 3.1.3.
  • 2nd and 3rd generation iPod touch can use iOS version 4.0.

To install the free update, connect the device to iTunes.
